Edit Images

Page Updated: 10 Nov 2025

Modify an existing image with natural language instructions. Attach a photo or use a previously generated image as the base.

Steps

  1. Open Crafty AI.
  2. Click the Edit Image chip below the input. When active, the chip appears pressed and the aspect ratio selector hides.
  3. Provide a base image:
    • Click +Add Files and select an image (PNG/JPG), or
    • Generate an image first with Create Images. Crafty can use your last assistant image automatically.
  4. Type an edit instruction (e.g., “remove the background”, “increase contrast”, “add a sunset sky”) and press Enter.
  5. Wait for the edited result to appear, then use the Save button on the image to download it.

Tips

  • You must have a base image. If not, you’ll see a hint prompting you to attach or create one first.
  • Be specific about the change you want (subject, style, colors, background, composition).
  • Aspect ratio does not apply when editing.

Troubleshooting

  • Edit didn’t change enough? Refine your instruction with more detail.
  • No result? Re-attach the image and try again.
