Manage Knowledge
Organise documents, web pages, and text snippets into Knowledge folders for repeatable context.
Knowledge folders allow you to organise documents, web pages, and text snippets into persistent collections. Unlike temporary chat uploads, Knowledge folders can be attached to any conversation, providing consistent context across multiple chats.
Creating a Folder
- Navigate to the Knowledge page from the sidebar.
- Click New Folder.
- Give your folder a name and optional description to help you identify it later.
Adding Content
Once a folder is created, you can add various types of information:
- Upload Files: Select documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT, etc.) from your device.
- Upload Directory: Upload an entire folder structure at once.
- Add Web Page: Provide a URL, and Crafty will crawl and index the content.
- Add Text Content: Manually paste or type text directly into the folder.
Using Knowledge in Chat
To use your Knowledge folders during a conversation:
- Go to Crafty AI.
- Click the Knowledge (Folder) icon in the input area.
- Select one or more folders from the list and click Accept.
- The selected folders will appear as chips above the input. Crafty will now use this information to answer your questions.
Organisation and Management
- Search: Use the search bar to find specific folders or files within a folder.
- Sort: Organise files by date, name, or size using the sort menu.
- Selection Mode: Click files to select them for batch actions like downloading or deleting.
- Settings: Rename folders or update descriptions at any time.
Tip: Group related documents into specific folders (e.g., "Project X Specs", "Research Papers") for more focused AI responses.
